A richer event recap, and a status page that shows whose side a problem is on

The event recap now tells the story of the session, and the new status page checks ASKTC and your own connection so you can tell where a problem was.

What shipped

  • A redesigned recap. Every recap opens with the event's name and date, then totals, the five questions the room cared about most (with votes and an answered tag), a chart of when questions came in and the busiest moment, poll results with percentages, the themes people raised, and the mood of the room. It reads well on a phone and is made to be shared.
  • A public status page at asktc.live/status shows whether the website, live updates, vote counting and the database are working right now.
  • "Was it your network, or ASKTC?" A one-tap check on that page tests the website, a live connection and the database from the device in your hand, compares them with what our servers report, and says plainly whose side the problem was on, with what to try next.
  • A summary you can send. The check writes a short plain-text result you can copy to an organiser or client as proof of what was tested.

Why it matters

When someone says "your event went down", you can now see in seconds whether it was ASKTC or the Wi-Fi at the venue, and the recap is something you are happy to send afterwards.
