Asker privacy and a cleaner audience view

Asker emails are kept private, and audience phones and replays only show questions that were approved.

What shipped

  • Asker email stays private. It is stored apart from the question. Only the host and moderators can see it, and the API never returns it.
  • Audience only sees approved questions. Questions waiting for approval or rejected ones are no longer visible on audience phones, including through live updates.
  • Replay matches what the room saw. The replay of an ended event leaves out anything the audience never saw.
  • Duplicate-vote protection works from a private device marker, so one person can't pile votes on a question.

Why it matters

People ask better questions when they know their details are safe, and hosts stay in control of what goes on screen.
